Private Clinics Directory by Province
There are a variety of private clinics in Canada.
In general, the clinics fall into these categories:
- Diagnostic Imaging e.g. MRI, scans such as CAT, PET, CT
- Medically necessary medical and surgical procedures
- Executive health and/or personalized care that usually involves preventive health screening tests
- Cosmetic procedures
Many provinces do not currently have private clinics. For your information, we have listed here private clinics for Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
The clinics listed on this website are those that offer medically necessary diagnostics and/or treatment. This site does not concern itself with clinics for cosmetic procedures.
For medically necessary imaging or procedures, clinics may require a referral from a physician. Some clinics accept a referral from a physician in any province or territory. Others accept referrals only from physicians of the province in which the clinic is located. Some clinics do not require a medical referral. As conditions and regulations frequently change, you are advised to contact the clinic to discuss any requirements that they may have.
